Seasonal homemade apple jelly 250gms

Our boy Aditya’s aama has been making jams and jellies from all fruits growing in their yard for nearly two decades. Apples, cherry, pears, plums; you name it.

And that is exactly where this apple jelly comes from.

During apple season, fresh fruit from the harvest arrives in her kitchen every few days. The apples are slowly cooked in small batches, with a little cinnamon, until they turn into a glossy amber jelly that is sweet, fragrant and full of that unmistakable cooked-apple warmth.

Nothing fancy. Nothing rushed. Just the way she has always made it for her family.

There are no shortcuts here:

  • No preservatives
  • No commercial pectin
  • No artificial colouring
  • Fresh batches prepared throughout the apple harvest using Desi Khand

The result is a simple, honest apple jelly with natural notes of sweetness, fruit and warm spice.

We like it the way we grew up eating it: spread rather generously over hot toast with a little butter. But it is equally lovely with fresh bread, crackers or a good piece of cheese.

Being made from the season’s apples, in a home kitchen, by someone who has been doing it long before we ever thought of putting it in a jar.

Our difference

We believe seasonal produce should come with a sense of place — from the land itself, with the faces, stories, and traditions behind it. Kayang is about helping you connect with the landscape, know where your food comes from, and feel part of the family that grows it.
